User Interface Design Portfolio
This portfolio includes most of my major online projects from the last several years. Each main section includes a detailed description of my involvement in each project, as well as several screenshots. There's no substitute for checking out the real thing; Although a couple of the .com's I've worked on are now defunct, trying out PhotoSite AlbumBuilder and Homestead's other products is highly encouraged.
Mobile Computing Project
I was a student in Cornell's Interactive Media Group while getting my B.S. in Communication & Human / Computer Interaction. The lab focused on academic research into how people interact with computers, especially digital libraries, social networks, and mobile computing.

In additional to HCI coursework, I spent several semesters working on interactive HTML based experiences for mobile computers. I built a prototype application to help students learn & collect data while in the field.

1998-99  –  Jump! Inc.
Jump! Inc.
Jump! was an Internet startup company that built an amazing online personal information manager. I joined jump as a User Interface Designer in the Fall of 1998 and immediately began designing improvements to the signup processes & online help system. In addition to UI design, I spent a lot of time writing cross-browser compatible, efficient HTML and JavaScript.

Jump! was acquired by Microsoft, Inc. in the Spring of 1999 and integrated into MSN as MSN Calendar, a service of Hotmail.

1999-00  –  OnShare.com
OnShare.com
OnShare.com created a powerful Peer-to-Peer file sharing system allowing users to securely share files from their personal computer with anyone on the Internet. I designed the software and the web site, which worked in tandem to build a large file sharing community. OnShare provided various community based features for sharing files, but also allowed individuals to securely share files between home and office computers.

I was the first employee and helped create the vision for OnShare. As Vice-President of Creative Design, I designed multiple versions of the OnShare web site and software.

2000-Current  –  Homestead & PhotoSite
Homestead, Inc.
Homestead builds intuitive, easy to use software that allows the average computer user to design and build their own web site. The product design team designs new and powerful functionality with emphasis on making our software easy to use for even the least technical user. I led the design of Homestead's newest product, PhotoSite, which allows any digital camera owner to manage and share their photos online.

In addition to designing Homestead's PhotoSite software, I have also managed major redesigns of the Homestead subscription process, Homestead.com, and PhotoSite.com.
